Relaxation at Chalet Grumer - Wellness and spa facilities
If you visit South Tyrol in the autumn, you can take advantage of the many opportunities to enjoy a colourful holiday and take time out after a day’s activities by relaxing in our cosy Chalet in the mountains. We recommend our generous wellness oasis as the outdoor temperatures drop. Our rustic sauna is the ideal place to soak up soothing and warming natural energies.
Three rustic alpine saunas are grouped around a revitalising mountain spring with refreshing spring water. In addition, there’s an indoor activity pool with a hydro-flow system and massage jets and a comfortable relaxation room. Work out in the small but excellent fitness studio and enjoy the Vital bar with a fresh drinks selection and plenty of reading material. For a little extra TLC, we may arrange a dedicated expert on request. According to your preferences, choose from various tailored services, including soothing therapies, regenerating cosmetic treatments, pleasurable massages and invigorating baths, as well as personal nutritional and sports experts.
Törggelen in our gourmet restaurant with panoramic views
A typical feature of our South Tyrolean autumn is “Törggelen”, known as the fifth season. This traditional custom goes back to when the innkeepers and winegrowers used to receive visits after the harvest to taste the quality of the season’s produce. We serve traditional dishes such as dumplings, cabbage, Schlutzkrapfen, Surfleisch and chestnuts. Our gourmet restaurant preserves this South Tyrolean tradition of Törggelen and you can find out all about it in our rustic parlour or panoramic restaurant. We’ll treat you to high-quality selected South Tyrolean products with a range of the newest wines as recommended by Alexandra, your hostess.
Our menu in the Gourmet Grumer Restaurant includes not only Törggelen specialities but also exquisite international delicacies. Our chef loves to delight guests with his culinary skills and every dish is made with fresh quality produce and great care for detail. You can really look forward to an unforgettable dining experience as you sit and enjoy the fabulous views over the magnificent and colourful South Tyrol in autumn. After exquisite meals, our rustic living room invites you to get cosy in the reading corner with your loved ones or to be inspired by an exciting book from our library.
South Tyrol in autumn
South Tyrol is like a scene from a storybook in autumn and you can see the splendour of this picturesque landscape first-hand during the wonderfully colourful grapes and apples harvest season. Take a leisurely countryside walk through the woods and meadows and over the wonderful hiking trails of the Renon. Explore the romantic mountain lake, the Lago di Costalovara. Contrary to its name, the lake shimmers with wonderful shades of turquoise and blue against the lovely backdrop of the Catinaccio mountain. The many different walks are ideal for nature lovers, with beautiful views over the South Tyrolean countryside and Dolomite mountains. Ascend to the Rittner Horn peak or descend to the city of Bolzano. Whatever you choose to do in the Dolomites, Italy, when you’re hiking, it’s easy to explore the Renon on foot, by bicycle, by car, on horseback or riding on the Renon cable car.
Why not get a different perspective on these beautiful golden autumn days and request to book a helicopter tour over Bolzano and the Dolomites? You’re welcome to use our private on-site heliport.
