When the balmy summer nights pass over the South Tyrolean Dolomites, the contemporary and experimental sounds of the South Tyrolean Jazz Festival can also be heard. This year's 37th edition of the South Tyrolean Jazz Festival will take place with over 50 concerts at countless venues from 28th June to 7th July. The pieces and locations are as varied and interesting as the ensembles and soloists, because there is something for every taste at the South Tyrolean Jazz Festival for every occasion, be it a romantic weekend trip for two, a trip with friends or a pleasurable summer family holiday. 

Jazz on our sunny mountain, the Renon 

Not far from our idyllic nature hotel, hiking enthusiasts and music lovers can enjoy the passionate music of the South Tyrolean Jazz Festival with three very special open-air concerts on our local mountain, the Renon. 

The singer Celeste Alias and the pianist Marco Mezquida invite the audience on Saturday, 29 June at 6 pm to embark on an exciting journey to the moon. The two stars of the Catalan scene play their album "Llunàtics" directly at the Wolfsgrubener Lake, which is inspired by the phases of the moon and forms a perfect symbiosis between music and nature next to the view of the bright red rose garden.

The magic continues on Tuesday, July 2nd at 2 pm on the sun terrace of the Felturner Almhütte, because the British singer and pianist Claire Parsons, who lives in Luxembourg, and the Israeli guitarist Eran Har Even, who lives in the Netherlands, will provide harmony and balance in the middle of the alpine landscape with their chamber music. Let yourself be inspired by the sounds of this renowned duo, while your eyes wander over the Dolomites in the east, the Brenta group in the south and the Ortler massif in the west.

On Friday, July 5th at 11 am the South Tyrolean Jazz Festival invites you to its last concert on the Renon. Here you can admire the Canadian-Iranian singer and performer Golnar Shahyar and the Austrian pianist Benny Omerzell as well as an exciting liaison between Art Nouveau architecture and the Sciliar. Eastern and Western musical approaches are combined with jazz and improvised music to create an invigorating musical summer morning. 

Concert Program

In addition to the concerts on our sunny mountain, the Renon, you can also experience the many internationally renowned jazz greats in Bolzano, Bressanone, Bruneck, Meran and Vinschgau. The musical sound experiences of the South Tyrolean Jazz Festival sound down from the mountains, out of the wine cellars and also bring the ancient castles and the South Tyrolean streets to life. 

On the website of the South Tyrolean Jazz Festival you can find all further concert dates with a short description of the musicians, performers and composers and put together your own concert programme with just a few clicks. Subscribers also receive the Jazz Pass, which includes some discounts such as wine tasting discounts, free drinks at concerts and visits to museums in South Tyrol.
