Devotion for our guests wellbeing
At the Chalet Grumer Suites & Spa, your hosts Alexandra and Philip extend a warm welcome to you, with Lilly, a lovely, playful Labrador dog.
While Alexandra is mainly focused on Chalet Grumer's guests, you will meet Philip at the close Pippo's Mountain Lodge, a 5 minutes drive away.
We are looking forward to welcoming you soon.
The history of the Chalet Grumer
Your young host, Philip, from Soprabolzano grew up on the picturesque, sunny Renon mountain plateau in South Tyrol. When his parents found this house on the Renon about 35 years ago, it gave them the right feeling. Philip’s father, a mountain lover and businessman, immediately saw what an idyllic paradise the rustic "Grumer farm" was.
The house began as a private retreat and was then gradually expanded and developed over time to become the cosy Benincà family home. The children were happy playing in the great outdoors and the somewhat secluded mountain life wasn’t too remote, thanks to a good connection to the colourful town of Bolzano on board the Renon cable car.
Philip and Alexandra's wold of hospitality
Philip graduated in hotel management and a few years later and after some experience abroad, he completed his studies in tourism management and started to build on his hosting experience in the international hotel industry.
At the same time, after graduating from the commercial secondary school, Alexandra spent two years training in tourism management. She then completed her bachelor's degree in economics with a focus on tourism and widened her experience in various high-class hotels.
At this point, the young host couple met one another and discovered their mutual passion for a more individual, personal kind of hospitality than you’d find in most classic hotels. So, Chalet Grumer was lovingly given a new designation and our little mountain jewel of this story opened its doors to guests, with the hosts looking forward to delivering a unique adventure holiday.
We look forward to warmly welcoming you on your forthcoming visit,
Yours,
Alexandra, Philip and labrador Lilly.
