We’re delighted to welcome to you to our luxury chalet in South Tyrol, which benefits from a wonderfully secluded location on the edge of the forest with unparalleled views of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site.  

The village of Soprabolzano can be reached by car in 5 minutes via a little private forest road. Here you can take the panoramic cable car, which departs every 4 minutes, to Bolzano. Alternatively, driving to Bolzano takes about 30 minutes. The route takes you along the spectacular winding roads of Via Renon, past the abundant grape vines that are so typical of the South Tyrolean region.  

If you enjoy motorsports, romantic trips and jaunts, your personal concierge and host Philip, born and bred in South Tyrol, will be delighted to help you with great excursion tips. What kind of breakfast do we offer at the Luxuschalet in South Tyrol?

Start your morning in peace with our late riser breakfast until 10.30 am. Here you will be spoiled with a select choice of regional products as well as delicacies directly from the neighbouring farm. On your breakfast table you will find fresh free-range eggs, crispy fried bacon and freshly baked rolls. In addition, there is a variety of fruit and delicious natural yoghurt.

Does your luxury chalet in South Tyrol also offer its own helicopter tours?

Our helicopter landing pad is within walking distance of the chalet. We will gladly organise a helicopter tour for you to soar over the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites and the Alps.

For a very special view, you can choose from 3 different helicopter tours:

• Tour 1: Enjoy 15 minutes of breathtaking beauty. Here you fly once around the Sassolungo to the Geisler group and then back to Chalet Grumer.
• Tour 2: This half-hour tour takes you around the Sella massif, on to the Sciliar area and past the Geisler peaks before landing back at the local mountain.
• Tour 3: On this one-hour tour you get to see the Marmolata, the Tofana, the Cristallo, the 3 Zinnen, the Pragser Wildsee, the Geisler, the Schlern, the Langkofel and the Sella.

Book your tour in advance at the chalet. Helicopter flights can be booked alone, in pairs or for up to 6 people.

Are dogs welcome at Luxuschalet Grumer in South Tyrol?

Dogs are very welcome in our luxury chalet in South Tyrol. Your hosts Alexandra and Philip are dog lovers themselves. The luxury chalet offers your four-legged friends amenities such as food and water bowls, dog blankets, dog bags, and personal service for special excursion requests. Last but not least, the wonderful hiking trails around the chalet make your stay at Chalet Grumer a luxury experience for your dogs.

Where can you go for a luxurious meal around Chalet Grumer?

In South Tyrol, culinary lovers get their money's worth. Luxury, that can already be a piece of South Tyrolean bacon on the hike. Or a glass of Lagrein from our mineral wine slopes.

Under the guidance of the talented chef Mario, you will be immersed in a world of traditional South Tyrolean delicacies and international treats. Breakfast, served for our Chalet Grumer guests until 10:30 a.m., consists of fresh egg dishes and healthy vitality foods. At lunchtime, the kitchen team delights you with a perfect mix of traditional recipes and modern creations. As evening approaches,the lodge invites you to an aperitivo, where you can choose between refreshing drinks and creative finger food in an atmosphere that invites you to linger. Dinner with Walter's menu, whether on the picturesque terrace at alpenglow or in the cosy guest room, rounds off the day in culinary terms.

We recommend, for example:

Trenkerstube - 2 Michelin stars. Located in the Hotel Castel in Tyrol and known for rethinking traditional South Tyrolean cuisine.

Terra - 2 stars. Located in Hotel Bad Schörgau in Sarntal, this restaurant offers a culinary experience that focuses on the natural ingredients of the region.

Zum Löwen - 1 star. Located in the hotel of the same name in Tisens and serves creativity.

Ritten (Renon) and the Ritten cable car: the high plateau on which Chalet Grumer is located offers a breathtaking view of the Dolomites and Bolzano. You can reach the city of Bolzano in a few minutes with the Ritten cable car and enjoy the view at the same time.

Earth pyramids of Ritten: These amazing geological formations were created during the ice ages and offer you a fascinating natural spectacle.
